"POWER"

To tell the story of POWER we teamed up with photographer, Jen Rosenstein. Jen’s work is a reflection of her deep relationships within a creative community of musicians, artists, filmmakers and LGBTQ people. As a woman behind the camera, Jen likes to explore all the ways that femaleness presents, including what it means to take up space in the world as a woman. Music, joy, and abundant feeling is the heartbeat of her collaborations.

JEN'S APPROACH TO HER ART IS A PERFECT MATCH FOR "POWER".

“I wanted the song to feel like a jolt of energy - of feminine divine energy. Regardless of our gender we all benefit from tapping into the feminine divine.”

Creatively, our intention was to playfully and innovatively create unique compositions of mirror art in video format. We asked ourselves, “What if starting today, every time we look in the mirror, we say hello as if it’s the first time that we’ve met ourselves? What if we offered ourselves kindness, self-love and second chances? What if we truly accepted ourselves and allowed ourselves to practice radical self-trust?”

For inspiration, we reached out to my community on Instagram and asked the question “What words of empowerment would you write on a post-it note for yourself or a loved one?” In return, we received an outpouring of submissions and incorporated them into the set design of the video.

“I’m finding my power through taking a bet on myself as I create a new approach to being an artist and an advocate. And the inner work I’ve done to heal myself in the last few years has enabled me to actually love and accept who I see in the mirror.”

We hope when people hear this song and watch the video, they feel energized and hopeful about their own lives and their power within.
